I work with sculpture on a large scale. I collect waste products from industries that I visit around Sweden. Slag, is a word for waste products created by material processes. This material that doesn\u2019t reach the standard of the \u201cperfect form\u201d can either lose its value and be thrown away, or be forced to go through the same process again. To me the value is in the imperfections, and not the opposite. For me the \u2018perfect form\u2019 is not uninteresting, but a central part of my working material, used to access the slag products. But the slag is what I want to access to highlight that which ends up outside the system. In a dialogue with the material, I explore its resistance and its willingness to take on new forms inspired by systems or structures, for example, ventilation pipes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
