Vera Salmson

I work with painting as my primary medium. With a starting point in modernist painting, I explore the boundaries of the visual world by using image consumption as a subject, but also through painting-related problems such as light and darkness. An image archive is displayed in the quantity of the works – taken from newspapers, postcards and family photo albums. Together, they create a narrative in which the viewer can find their own experience of painting.
