I have long searched for my own unique style of illustrating. I’ve gone from sketching with colour markers to painting with acrylic to eventually land in creating digital pictures. But nothing has quite felt right.
That’s why I’ve left the two-dimensional creating behind me to explore what the pictures could look like if I created them with my hands instead of just a pencil. I have played with perspectives and the freedom of using the whole room to create a picture experience instead of only a flat piece of paper.
I have done so through a story I have had inside me that’s just waiting for the right expression to be created. By photographing the models, the book gets its pages, but the experience is just as much getting to see the rooms from all their angles and views.
