Adam Ytterberg

These paintings are the first in a series based on my story of Torun and Grandmother in the Valley of the Newborn that builds on the tale of Torun and Grandmother in the Natural Monument.

I paint with oils on canvas of varying sizes. I sketch the subject using pencil and paper. I then build up the subject with different layers of paint to create dramatic lighting conditions in the painting.
