The creation of images with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence) has received a lot of media attention in 2022. This new technology offers its users the option of creating amazing images with only a few words and sentences. With it, so many questions were raised about ethics, intellectual property rights and creativity that we are now facing a technological shift which not only changes the way we create images, but also how we look at them.
As a future art teacher, I am concerned about this development, but at the same time curious about how it will change art education. This is the result of computers being allowed to interpret famous works of art in our age of mechanical reproduction.
