Deep down in my subconscious, lives are being created by memories and actions. They have been shaped and developed from the moment I was given life and will continue until I cease to exist.
In my degree project, SELF-PORTRAITS INCOGNITO, I create a surreal interpretation of my inner world and the creatures living within it. I invite you to a space that opens up for reflections on the complexity of the human psyche. You get to meet my creatures and mirror them, wearing their faces, in the hope that you will approach your own inner world. I wish to challenge your imagination and perception.
In my creative practice, I constantly explore parallels between fantasy and reality and work across borders of photography, sculpture, and spatiality.
Over my years at Konstfack, the common thread in my work has become more apparent. I always start from within my psyche. I have understood that it is a way of processing my reality. My imagination and my hands help me manage my surroundings.
