Ebba Hernström

My degree project is about finding the relationship between me (my body) and the craft in my life as a student and a creative person. I use the term “underwater basket weaving” to find a connection between my work and society’s view on craft, a term used to ridicule “unnecessary” academic achievements. I work underwater and onshore with the hope of portraying what the making of my craft feels like and what it takes for my body and soul to do it.
