Surrealists used their art movement to address the fears of their time. Inspired by the surrealist art movement, specifically automatism techniques and the work of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, I have created a surrealistic dystopian landscape. Today, one of our society’s biggest fears is climate change and how it will affect the world we know. What will the world look like in the future?

My degree project with textile assemblage incorporates many different textile and non-textile techniques and materials. I work with the four elements in connection to climate change and find inspiration in the harsh landscape on the western coast of Denmark, where I grew up.

The future is surrealistic.
