Mariona Miquel Ros

My degree project consists of five different pieces that explore diverse universal topics such as religion, love and cultural identity. The artworks are intended to be a meeting point where the personal experiences of the author intersect with the aim of making the public relate/empathise with them. This concept gives the name to the project, Self-portrait of Someone Else. A possible self-portrait of the maker and also one of the viewer.

All of the pieces have common interests; objects and installations are treated as pictures, something to be seen but not to be touched, and things from our daily lives are highlighted by conceptualising them. My degree project tells its story through these concepts.
