Slowly Also Leads Somewhere

I am interested in the deceptive simplicity of the circle. A circle seems like a simple and strict geometric form but it becomes so complicated in weaving. Since the weave consists of the warp and weft that create a pixel system, there are always going to be jagged edges in the round shape. Regardless of how thin the threads are, or how dense the weave is, the circle will never be completely round. I strive to grasp the circle but it keeps slipping away. I find myself in a process where I work towards a goal that is unreachable. Continuously working with the circle in my weaving is a way to bring myself, and the viewer, beyond the image and to explore the philosophical aspect of slow craft.
