My degree project examines different ways of shaping memories. What is it that makes some events embed themselves and replay in our minds? Research suggests that children can inherit fears and traumas from previous generations that they themselves have not experienced. I am curious to know if we can break this legacy by giving form to these events, placing them outside ourselves and examine them together with others.
The project concludes by turning the gaze from the past towards the future, with a tribute to parents’ love for their children and the hope and aspiration for a better life for them.
