What Does the Educational Work Look Like?

In my degree project, I examine through interviews, how educators at three different art galleries convey art and what they do in their creative activities with visitors. The study also examines how and what an intercultural approach can provide for the art education situation. My hope is to discover new methods and strategies for art education work, which in the long run contributes to more people being included and participating in cultural life.

As part of my degree project, I, Belinda Morén, Mari Eriksson, Katarina Seth and Amanda Sammeli from the Teacher Education Programme in Visual Arts have planned a symposium during the Degree Exhibition to create a platform in which didactic conversations can be held and examined together with guests and audience, in relation to the individual essays.
