When someone gets sick, something happens in the body that we can’t see at first. Something foreign starts to grow, and the sickness wants to slowly but surely take over the healthy. In cases where we cannot stop the disease, it continues to grow and takes over until the healthy can no longer survive.

This degree project shows such a process through the tools of an interior architect and furniture designer. The furniture is a metaphor for the body, and the sick and the healthy have been translated into two different materials we recognize. Step by step, a visual change occurs where one material quietly replaces the other.
