This degree project explores the possibility of reuse in a modular system, designed to be flexible, expandable with new components, and finally easily dismantled to meet changing needs and circumstances with the hope that the system will have a longer life than the interior that first housed it.

The system has been reconfigured to test this hypothesis and expanded for different premises and situations. The components are made of wood to offer a different expression than existing modular solutions. This system can assume certain roles that site-built interior details often have but lies as a layer more clearly separated from the room. Somewhere between furniture and built interior design.
