My degree project is an exploration of collage as an intuitive sketching method for physical objects in a spatial installation. Through an iterative design process, two-dimensional images are transformed into three-dimensional objects, guided by the shapes, colours and layers present in the collages. By experimenting with composition and form, the collage becomes a tool that allows for irrational thinking and the discovery of playful and unexpected outcomes. Spatial Collage is about investigating the interplay between space, two-dimensionality, three-dimensionality, and something in between.
