– Influence of Traditional Craft on Contemporary Craft Cross-Culturally

Culture is a tapestry of beliefs, customs, and daily life, intricately woven within us. But what becomes of our cultural identity when we explore new horizons? Does it dissolve, or does it blossom anew?

The fusion of two worlds, embodied in my work through my perspective, is a celebration of cultural identity. My journey from India to Sweden, tells a tale of embracing a new way of life while keeping my cultural roots close to my heart. Traditional and contemporary elements interweave in my work, creating a collage of cultures that transcends boundaries. My textile art interlaces diverse cultural heritage, a reminder that identity thrives and evolves even in new environments.

The hand-knotted patterns blend tales, creating a display of the extraordinary beauty of cultures coming together. It is a tribute to the power of fusion and diversity, inspiring others to embrace their cultural identity and celebrate new experiences.
